Working through it
Install Smart IPTV on the TV
Search the Samsung or LG store for "Smart IPTV" and install it. Open it once and write down the MAC address it displays, because the next step happens on a different device entirely and you will not want to walk back and forth. Photograph the screen if that is easier.
Upload the playlist
On a phone or laptop, go to siptv.app/mylist. Enter that MAC address exactly, colons and all, paste your M3U link into the URL field, tick "Keep online" and press Send. The "Keep online" box matters — without it the list is treated as temporary.
Restart the app
Close Smart IPTV properly on the television and open it again. Channels and the guide load from the playlist you just uploaded. It does not appear without that restart, which is the point at which people usually assume the upload failed.
Activate after the trial
You get seven days, after which it asks for a small one-time activation for that specific television at siptv.app/activation. That payment goes to the app developer and has nothing to do with your subscription here — we cannot process it and we do not receive it.
When it goes wrong, and what fixes it
The list uploads but the TV shows nothing
Give it a minute and restart the app before assuming anything failed. Then check the MAC was entered exactly, colons included, because one wrong character quietly sends your playlist to somebody else’s television and yours stays empty.
"Playlist expired" appears on screen
This refers to the app, not your account, and it panics people unnecessarily. Reinstalling the app or resetting the television clears its stored list. Re-upload at siptv.app/mylist against the same MAC and it returns.
The MAC address changed by itself
It changes when you move the set between Wi-Fi and Ethernet, because those are two separate adapters. Either re-upload against the new address or put the television back on the connection it was using originally.
There is no programme guide
Smart IPTV shows guide data only if the playlist you uploaded carries it. Ask the desk for the playlist variant with EPG attached and re-upload that one.
It asks to activate again on a second television
The fee is per television, because it is tied to the MAC. A second set means a second activation with the developer. Your subscription covers both; the app licence does not.
Channels play but the order looks wrong
Smart IPTV presents groups in whatever order the playlist supplies them, and it offers less reordering than the heavier players do. If the arrangement bothers you, ask the desk for a playlist ordered the way you want — we can generate one, and it is a five-minute job at our end rather than an evening of fiddling at yours.
It worked for a week and then asked for payment
That is the trial ending exactly as designed, not a fault. The activation at siptv.app/activation is a one-off charge for that television, paid to the app developer. We have no involvement in it, cannot process it for you, and cannot waive it.
The guide is a few hours out of step
Smart IPTV renders guide times in the television’s own timezone, so a set configured for the wrong region shifts everything. Correct the timezone in the television settings rather than looking for an option in the app, which does not have one.

Smart IPTV (SIPTV) IPTV FAQ
What is the difference between Smart IPTV and SSIPTV?
They are different applications by different developers with confusingly similar names. Smart IPTV (siptv.app) uses the MAC upload described here. SS IPTV uses a connection code instead. Both work; make sure you are following instructions for the one you actually installed.
Is the activation fee recurring?
No, it is one payment per television, made once to the app developer. If you replace the set, the new one needs its own activation because it has a different MAC.
Why does it not just have a login box?
Design choice by the developer — it keeps the television app extremely light, which is exactly why it runs well on older sets that struggle with heavier players. The trade-off is the slightly odd upload process.
Can I change my playlist later?
Yes. Go back to siptv.app/mylist, enter the same MAC and submit the new link. It replaces what was there. Restart the app afterwards.
Is Smart IPTV better than IPTV Smarters on Samsung?
On an older or slower set, yes, noticeably. On a recent television it is mostly a matter of preference, and Smarters has the advantage of a normal login and no per-television fee.
Can I move my playlist to a new television?
Yes, but it counts as a new device. Upload the playlist against the new set’s MAC at siptv.app/mylist, and expect to pay the activation fee again for that television, because the licence follows the hardware rather than you.
Does Smart IPTV work without internet on the TV itself?
No. The television is doing the streaming, so it needs its own connection — wired or wireless. Uploading the playlist happens on a phone or laptop, but that is only the setup step; after that the TV talks to our servers directly.
Is there a way to avoid the per-television fee?
Not with this app — it is how the developer charges, and it is a single small payment rather than a subscription. If you would rather not pay it at all, IPTV Smarters is free on the same television and needs no MAC upload.
Why is there no login screen like other apps?
It is a deliberate design decision by the developer. Removing account handling from the television keeps the app extremely light, which is exactly why it still runs well on sets that choke on heavier players. The MAC upload is the price of that lightness, and once done it never needs repeating on that television.
What happens to my playlist if the app is removed from the store?
Anything already installed keeps working, because the app talks to our servers rather than to the store. What you would lose is the ability to install it on a new television. This is a genuine argument for IPTV Smarters on a set you might reset, since it is stocked far more widely and needs no MAC registration.
