Working through it
Open the App Store
On an Apple TV it sits on the home screen. On an iPhone or iPad it is the usual App Store icon. Make sure the device is signed in to an Apple ID, since the store will let you browse without one and then stop at the point of installing.
Install a player
Search for "IPTV Smarters Player", "iPlayTV" or "GSE Smart IPTV" and install one. Smarters costs nothing; the other two have a one-time price and better interfaces. Skip anything named TiviMato or Tivimax — they are not TiViMate, which has never existed on Apple platforms.
Add your Stryvix4K login
Open the app, choose the Xtream Codes option, and enter the username, password and server address. On an iPhone you can paste each field straight out of the WhatsApp conversation, which eliminates the typo that causes most failed logins. On an Apple TV, using the iPhone keyboard prompt is far quicker than the on-screen one.
Enable AirPlay if you want
From an iPhone you can AirPlay a channel to an Apple TV or any AirPlay-capable television in the same room. That is a perfectly reasonable way to work if you would rather not install anything on the television itself, though a direct install on the Apple TV is more stable for long viewing.
When it goes wrong, and what fixes it
The channel list loads but nothing plays
This is the classic Apple symptom. Some channels use codecs Apple devices will only decode through the right player engine. Switch the engine to VLC or FFmpeg in the app settings and it almost always starts working immediately.
Login is rejected on Apple TV but works on iPhone
Nearly always a typing error from the on-screen keyboard. When an Apple TV prompts you to type using a nearby iPhone, take it. Alternatively set the account up on the iPhone first to confirm the credentials are right, then repeat on the television knowing the values are good.
AirPlay drops out partway through
AirPlay is sensitive to Wi-Fi congestion in a way a direct install is not. If it keeps dropping during a match, install the player directly on the Apple TV instead. AirPlay is convenient for a quick look, not for two hours of live sport.
The app was bought but will not install on Apple TV
Purchases are per Apple ID, not per app version, but some players ship separate iOS and tvOS builds. Check the App Store listing on the Apple TV itself; if the tvOS build is a separate product, buying the iPhone one does not cover it.
Playback is fine but there is no on-demand section
You have logged in with an M3U playlist rather than the Xtream Codes API. Only the Xtream route carries the guide and the on-demand library. Delete the profile and re-add it with the Xtream option.
The app disappeared after an iOS or tvOS update
Apple removes apps it considers incompatible during major updates. Reinstall from your purchase history — if you paid for it, it is still yours. Your login details are unaffected and go back in as before.
Video stutters only on the Apple TV, not the iPhone
Compare how each is connected. An Apple TV on Wi-Fi in a cabinet behind a television often has a considerably worse signal than a phone in your hand. The Apple TV 4K has Ethernet on some models, and using it settles this immediately.
Playback stops whenever the iPhone locks
iOS suspends video in most players when the screen locks, which is expected behaviour rather than a fault. If you are listening to a channel rather than watching it, check whether your player offers background audio; several do, but it is off by default.

Is there IPTV Smarters for Apple TV?
Yes, there is a tvOS build in the App Store and it works exactly as described here. iPlayTV is the better-designed alternative if you do not mind a one-off payment for it.
Can I watch Stryvix4K on my Mac?
You can. Use the web player, or install VLC and open the M3U link. There is no dedicated Smarters build for macOS, but neither route needs one, and both take the same credentials.
Does it work on an older Apple TV?
Third generation and earlier cannot install apps at all, so no. Fourth generation onwards is fine. On a third-generation box, AirPlay from an iPhone is the only route, with the reliability caveat noted above.
Why is Apple fussier about channels than Android?
Apple’s media framework supports a narrower set of codecs natively, so anything unusual has to be handled by the player rather than the hardware. That is exactly what switching the engine to VLC or FFmpeg does, and it is why that single setting fixes most Apple complaints.
Can I use the same login on my iPhone and the Apple TV?
Yes, install it on both. Your plan limits how many streams play at once, not how many devices hold the login, so both can be signed in permanently.
Can I use Siri or the Apple TV remote app?
The Siri remote works normally within these players, and the iPhone Remote app is far quicker for typing credentials. Voice search does not reach inside IPTV apps, so channel switching stays manual.
Does Screen Time or parental control cover this?
Screen Time can restrict the app itself, but it cannot filter channels inside it. If you want adult categories removed entirely, ask the desk and we can supply a line-up without them, which is a firmer control than anything the device offers.
Does it work on an iPad in split view?
Most of these players support Slide Over and Split View on a recent iPad, which is genuinely handy for having a match running alongside something else. Older players may force full screen; that is an app limitation rather than an iPad one.
Will this drain my iPhone battery quickly?
Streaming video is one of the heavier things a phone does, so yes — expect roughly two to three hours of continuous viewing from a full charge, less over cellular than Wi-Fi. Dropping from the 4K feed to the HD copy of the same channel extends it noticeably and, on a phone screen, costs you nothing you can actually see.
