Most likely causes
- The Firestick Wi-Fi aerial is weak and drops throughput even when another device tests fast
- TiviMate’s buffer is set too low for a busy channel
- A 4K feed is heavier than a Lite or older stick can decode smoothly
- The stick is warm, low on free storage, or running background apps
- The router is far away or on a congested 2.4 GHz channel
Fixes, in the order to try them
Hard-wire the Firestick with an Ethernet adapter. This is the single biggest fix, because the stick’s Wi-Fi is the usual culprit even on a fast line.
If Ethernet is not possible, force 5 GHz: put the router in line of sight of the TV or add a mesh node nearby. Fire TV, Settings, Network shows the signal strength.
Raise the buffer in TiviMate: Settings, Advanced, and increase the buffer size and timeout so it pre-loads more before playing.
Play the HD version of the channel. A busy 4K feed can overwhelm a Firestick Lite or 2nd-gen even at 100 Mbps, and HD looks near-identical on most sets.
Free up the stick: uninstall apps you do not use, clear the TiviMate cache, and restart it from Settings, My Fire TV, Restart. A stick with little free storage stutters.
Turn on hardware decoding in TiviMate’s playback settings. Software decoding on a stick cannot hold a heavy channel.

TiviMate buffering on Firestick FAQ
Why does TiviMate buffer when my internet is fast?
A speed test to a nearby server does not measure the stick’s Wi-Fi or the full path to the stream. On a Firestick the Wi-Fi aerial is the usual bottleneck; wiring it with Ethernet almost always clears the buffering.
Does a Firestick need Ethernet for IPTV?
Not always, but it is the most reliable fix. If a stick buffers on a fast line, an Ethernet adapter removes the Wi-Fi variable and steadies busy channels.
Which Firestick is best for 4K IPTV?
The Fire TV Stick 4K or 4K Max hold heavy feeds better than the Lite or older sticks. On any stick, HD feeds are smoother than 4K if buffering persists.
How do I increase the buffer in TiviMate?
Open Settings, Advanced, and raise the buffer size and timeout. A larger buffer pre-loads more of the stream so a brief dip does not empty it.
